New Jersey Dentist Now Offering Many Alternatives to the Needle and the Drill

Getting a filling is not a pleasant experience by most patient accounts. But there are alternatives to the needle and the drill when it comes time to fill a cavity. New Jersey dentist Dr. Craig Rosenthal is among a small percentage of dentists that are now offering their patients lasers in place of the traditional needle followed by drill for the treatment of cavities. This New Jersey dentist is using what’s known as Hydrokinetic technology, which combines the use of water and a laser to remove tooth enamel. Unlike the grinding of the high-speed drill, there is virtually no pain or heat. In addition, the Hydrokinetic laser eliminates many of the issues that accompany the traditional high-speed drill method, and prepares the tooth in a way that maximizes the life of the filing.
